• MedEssist is a Google Start-Up Accelerator alumni company where over half the team are composed of pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. 
• We pride ourselves in building industry-first solutions that are not only innovative through technology and AI, but thorough through interprofessional collaboration. 
• We serve over 500 pharmacies across Canada and the US, turning pharmacies into comprehensive healthcare clinics that can solve almost any healthcare problem. To do this, we need to educate and encourage every pharmacy to transcend the traditional way in which they operate, which can be a hard but achievable goal.
• Changing the healthcare system and positively impacting the healthcare system from the ground up is no easy task, but it is extremely rewarding.

Characteristics of the team at MedEssist: 

We’ve often worked with ambitious life science grad students with a keen interest in developing their career in tech. Bonus if you’ve worked as a pharmacy assistant or volunteered with a pharmacy before.

Strong Communication:
You are adept at communicating at an agile level, collecting & synthesizing critical information from others both internally within an organization and externally.

Persistence & consistency:
If needed, you know how to be persistent and you can complete a repeatable process every day and stay enthusiastic about the greater goals ahead.

Possess analytical rigor:
You take a fact-based, hypothesis-driven approach to new problems and can add structure to a previously open-ended problem, then drive to a solution by leveraging facts and numbers as evidence.

Be outcomes-orientated: 

When faced with a new problem, you are biased toward action. You enjoy getting to an initial hypothesis quickly with limited data and working with our team to build a plan to test and improve hypotheses with a path to quickly running experiments to gather more information.

Have empathy & humility: 

You care deeply about helping others and putting your team first, and you are motivated to improve healthcare.
